Casual Food and Beverage Attendant

About the role

Join the team at Novotel Devonport and deliver friendly, attentive service in a vibrant waterfront restaurant and bar. You will welcome guests, take orders, and ensure a memorable dining experience.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their dining experience.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and serve meals and drinks promptly.
• Share menu knowledge, recommend dishes, wines and beverages, and assist with dietary requirements.
• Prepare and serve a range of beverages, including coffee, wine, beer and basic cocktails.
• Set up, clear and reset tables, keeping dining and service areas clean and organised.
• Process payments accurately using the point‑of‑sale system.
• Work closely with kitchen and bar teams to keep service running smoothly.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and responsible service of alcohol requirements.

Required profile

• Previous customer service or hospitality experience.
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate.
• Flexibility to work various rostered shifts, including early mornings, late evenings and weekends.
• Strong communication skills and a confident, friendly presentation.
• Ability to upsell and maximise sales opportunities.
• Calm under pressure in a fast‑paced environment and a team‑player attitude.
