Casual Carer – Aged Care

About the role

Anglicare Sydney is looking for a Casual Carer to provide high-quality care and support to residents, helping them live with dignity and purpose. The role involves assisting with daily tasks, providing emotional support and companionship, and ensuring the physical comfort and emotional health of residents in a caring, nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, grooming and feeding.
• Support residents with mobility and provide physical assistance.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Monitor and document residents' progress, making sure their needs and preferences are met.
• Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care in an inclusive environment.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification, recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance.
• Kind-hearted, patient and respectful, with a passion for working with older people.
• Preferred: strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team and independently, understanding of maintaining residents' dignity and independence, alignment with Anglicare's Christian ethos, and flexible availability including mornings, afternoons or nights.
