Carer – Dudley Foord House

About the role

Anglicare Sydney is looking for a Carer for its Dudley Foord House, The Ponds. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care that helps residents live with dignity and purpose, supporting their physical and emotional wellbeing and helping them stay independent.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, grooming and feeding
• Support residents with mobility and give physical assistance
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Monitor and document residents' progress so their needs and preferences are met
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care in an inclusive environment

Required profile

• Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent qualification
• At least 6 months' experience in aged care or a similar healthcare setting
• NDIS workers screening check clearance
• Kind, patient and respectful, with a passion for enhancing the lives of older people

Required skills

• Experience with care management systems and digital documentation
• Preferred: excellent communication and interpersonal skills, teamwork with nurses, allied health professionals and other Carers
