Canteen Assistant (Casual)

About the role

Pacific Hills Christian School, a co-educational K-12 Christian school with 1,500 students in Dural, Sydney, is looking for casual Canteen Assistants who enjoy good quality customer service. Days and hours may be flexible for the right candidate. The school is part of the Pacific Group of ten Christian schools, six of which are in regional NSW.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food and replenish stock
• Help keep the canteen in line with set standards
• Serve students and staff
• Clean the canteen daily and at the end of each term
• Assist the Canteen Manager and Coordinator as required
• Follow WHS and risk management policies

Required profile

• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills
• Basic food safety knowledge
• Confident working in a fast-paced environment and keeping to scheduled timelines
• Reliable and responsible
• Willingness to deliver good quality customer service to students of all ages and staff
• Commitment to a local church and the ethos of Christian education; a reference from a minister of the church you regularly attend is required
• NSW Working with Children Check number for verification
