Cafe Shift Lead

About the role

Anglicare Sydney is looking for a Cafe Shift Lead for a full-time onsite position in Woolooware Shores, working Monday to Sunday on a rotating roster. The role delivers exceptional food service experiences for residents, visitors and guests, working closely with the Head of Food & Beverage, Café Assistants and village teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present meals, snacks and café items to a high standard, serving them safely and efficiently in line with resident dietary requirements
• Monitor food quality, presentation and temperature, including IDDSI requirements, and assist with plating and daily food service
• Guide and support Café Assistants, helping with onboarding, on-the-job training and staff performance
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and cleanliness to HACCP and WHS standards, keeping equipment, kitchen, dining and storage areas clean and safe
• Deliver excellent customer service and promote safe work practices and a positive workplace culture

Required profile

• Reliable, customer-focused hospitality professional who enjoys a fast-paced environment
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a café, hospitality, food production or kitchen environment
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Preferred: experience in food preparation and plating, supervising a small team, and in aged care, retirement living or hospitality

Required skills

• Current Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) certificate
• Current RSA certificate
• Current and valid Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards
