Business Services Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Business Services Accountant to join our Brisbane team, reporting to the Accounting Manager. You will serve a diverse client base, providing financial and tax advice while acting as a trusted business advisor.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs.
• Prepare BAS/IAS.
• Develop budgets and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Provide email support to clients.
• Liaise with the ATO and other regulatory bodies.

Required profile

• 2+ years’ experience within Australian public practice.
• Degree in Business or Commerce with a major in Accounting.
• CA/CPA qualification or intention to commence.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Results‑driven with ability to meet deadlines and targets.
• Commitment to a progressive, innovative work environment.
• Ability to present solutions, not problems.
• Desire to continuously improve technical knowledge.

Required skills

• Xero (experience highly desirable)
