Business Line Growth Director – Program Management (ANZ)

About the role

AECOM is seeking a senior growth leader to drive client engagement, pursuit excellence and market positioning for its Program Management business line across Australia and New Zealand. The role is externally facing, shaping client strategies and positioning AECOM as the partner of choice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deepen engagement with key decision‑makers and partners in priority markets.
• Own external market positioning, track trends, competitors and emerging opportunities.
• Partner with sector directors and growth leads to identify and win Enterprise Critical Pursuits and Tier 2 pursuits.
• Support client account managers on plan delivery, growth targets and relationship objectives.
• Represent AECOM at professional associations, industry forums and sector events.
• Apply capture best‑practice, embed digital solutions and work‑share opportunities into pursuits.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in program or project management and business development, preferably in construction, engineering or consulting.
• Proven track record of winning large‑scale, high‑value projects.
• Strong network within the ANZ market and ability to build trust with senior leaders.
• Deep commercial acumen and understanding of regional market dynamics.
• Strategic thinker who can translate market insights into actionable growth plans.

Required skills

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
• Experience with program‑management capture processes, proposal development and risk governance.
