Business & Governance Manager

About the role

The Queensland College of Teachers is seeking a highly skilled professional to lead its Business and Governance function. This senior manager will ensure that business services align with the organisation's strategic priorities and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and manage the delivery of Business and Governance services across the organisation.
• Provide authoritative, high‑level advice, options and policy recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team, Board and Audit & Risk Committee.
• Oversee the financial operations of the College, ensuring compliance with public‑sector standards.
• Develop, implement, monitor and update corporate policies, procedures and systems, including records management.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support key programmes and initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant business qualifications; CPA or CA membership highly desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in senior governance or finance roles within the public sector.
• Ability to meet the qualifications, licences and background‑check requirements set out in the Public Sector Act 2022.
• Commitment to disclose any conflicts of interest, disciplinary history or other statutory obligations.
