Business Development Representative (Remote, Australia)

About the role

Primer is looking for a Business Development Representative to generate high‑quality sales opportunities for its Business Development Managers. This remote position focuses on the Australian market and supports the company’s mission to simplify global payments.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect target accounts through outbound activities such as cold calls, emails, social outreach and video prospecting.
• Book outbound meetings and guide leads through the early stages of the sales process.
• Conduct market research to uncover new customer segments and refine the ideal customer profile.
• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure a smooth hand‑off of qualified opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a BDR or SDR role with a record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
• Demonstrated ability to prospect and qualify new opportunities in the Australian enterprise market.
• Consultative, strategic and analytical approach to sales outreach.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage, influence and persuade.
