Business Development Representative

About the role

The Business Development Representative (BDR I) at Diligent will drive direct growth by prospecting new business opportunities and acting as a brand ambassador for Diligent’s SaaS governance solutions. You will build outbound pipelines, qualify decision‑makers, and set up meetings for account executives.

Key responsibilities

• Use lead‑generation tools (Cold calling, LinkedIn, Outreach, Salesforce, ZoomInfo) to create targeted prospect lists.
• Engage prospects via email, phone, and social channels following sales‑development best practices.
• Ask smart, targeted questions to qualify senior‑level decision makers.
• Generate interest, influence opportunities, and coordinate demos on the account executive’s calendar.
• Log all activities in the CRM and consistently meet or exceed KPIs.

Required profile

• Strong passion for a target‑driven, sales‑focused environment.
• Solid understanding of the full sales process, including prospecting and cold calling.
• Proven ability to communicate product value and quickly acquire deep product knowledge.
• Exceptional communication skills with a track record of influencing senior executives.
• High energy, positive attitude, and a can‑do mindset.
