Business Development Manager / Senior Manager – Health & Public Sector

You will drive commercial growth by originating, shaping and closing high‑value digital transformation opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and close opportunities across Avanade’s portfolio, including cloud migration, managed services, AI, data and digital transformation.
• Develop and execute account‑based growth strategies for target government and health organisations.
• Build trusted relationships with C‑suite executives and key decision‑makers.
• Partner with Microsoft, Accenture and alliance partners to co‑sell strategic solutions.
• Lead cross‑functional pursuit teams (bid, delivery, SMEs, legal, finance) to design differentiated proposals.
• Shape commercial strategies, craft value propositions and negotiate complex deal structures.

Required profile

• 7+ years of enterprise sales or business development experience in consulting, technology services or digital transformation.
• Proven track record of closing large‑scale engagements ($5M‑$20M+ TCV) and achieving $10M+ AUD annual bookings.
• Strong existing relationships with senior leaders in Federal/State Government or Health sectors.
• Consultative selling expertise with ability to translate business problems into technology outcomes.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Microsoft technologies, especially AI and Generative AI.
• Experience with cloud migration and modernisation.
• Understanding of data, AI and digital transformation solutions.
• Ability to engage both technical and executive audiences.
