Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a well‑connected Business Development Manager to own Cue‑X’s Federal Government growth agenda, from identifying opportunities to winning and expanding work across the Commonwealth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead a clear Federal Government growth plan, targeting priority departments, agencies, programmes and stakeholders.
• Build trusted relationships with senior decision‑makers at EL2, Assistant Secretary and SES levels.
• Connect client needs with Cue‑X’s capabilities in change, data, program delivery and ICT transformation.
• Maintain a qualified pipeline, lead opportunity qualification, and coordinate proposals, tenders and commercial submissions.
• Partner with SMEs, primes and technology partners to identify panel, partnership and subcontracting routes.
• Collaborate with delivery and talent teams to ensure opportunities are properly resourced.
• Convert initial engagements into long‑term client relationships and represent Cue‑X within Canberra’s government and consulting community.

Required profile

• Active and credible presence in the Federal Government market with a strong, current network.
• Solid knowledge of Commonwealth procurement processes, panels, AusTender, BuyICT and partner‑led routes.
• Understanding of digital transformation, ICT delivery, organisational change, data and program delivery.
• Experience developing account plans, managing pipelines and contributing to proposals and tenders.
• Strong commercial judgement regarding revenue, margin and delivery risk.
• Resilient, collaborative approach with ability to work closely with leadership, delivery and talent teams.
