Business Development Manager

About the role

Dematic, a global leader in integrated logistics and material handling, is seeking a Business Development Manager for its Mobile Automation team. The role focuses on nurturing strategic customer relationships, promoting the Dematic brand, and identifying opportunities for service, upgrade and AGV installations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted representative of the Dematic brand, maintaining professionalism and integrity.
• Develop and strengthen strategic relationships with key customer stakeholders across all organisational levels.
• Identify and grow service, technical and automation sales opportunities, building a robust pipeline.
• Collaborate with Service Manager, Solution Development & Design teams to propose competitive AGV and automation solutions.
• Serve as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring insights are shared across the business.

Required profile

• Proven experience in solution sales, business development or strategic account management within industrial, automation or logistics environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to balance customer outcomes and business objectives.
• Outstanding communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Degree qualified in engineering, technical, scientific or related discipline.

Required skills

• Experience with AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) solutions and automation technologies.
• Ability to evaluate, develop and propose technical service and automation solutions.
