Business Development Manager - Industrial Manufacturing

About the role

A well-established and growing industrial manufacturer is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive sales growth and strengthen customer relationships across Western Australia. Reporting to the National Manager and working alongside another Business Development Manager, you will drive new business and account growth, build strong customer relationships and achieve sales targets. The role suits a commercially focused sales professional who enjoys developing new business, managing key accounts and delivering technical product solutions in the industrial and construction markets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow sales revenue across the WA market
• Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with key accounts and distributors
• Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation through to quotation, negotiation and close
• Prepare sales reports and give regular updates to management
• Monitor customer activity, spend trends and opportunities for additional products
• Gather and share market intelligence, pricing trends and competitor activity

Required profile

• Proven experience in Business Development, Territory Management or Technical Sales
• Exposure to the industrial, manufacturing or construction sectors
• Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Excellent relationship building and customer engagement skills
• Ability to turn leads into revenue
• Up-to-date driver's licence

Required skills

• Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
