Business Development Manager - Coffee Sales

About the role

An award-winning specialty coffee group is recruiting a Business Development Manager in Sydney, NSW. The successful candidate must love coffee and be an experienced coffee sales professional with an established network in the cafe sector of Greater Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong strategic, collaborative partnerships with local cafe owners and operators in Greater Sydney.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of each cafe owner's business structure, culture, customers, issues, risks, needs, systems, constraints and objectives.
• Work with the group's marketing and coffee roasting teams to deliver customer-focused, multi-brand solutions that help cafe partners grow their businesses.

Required profile

• Experience selling multi-brand coffee into the cafe segment.
• Knowledge of the cafe landscape of influential owners, managers and baristas.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic and commercial partnerships and networks.
• Australian work authorisation at the time of application.

Required skills

• Commercial understanding of supplying coffee products and equipment to cafes (highly desirable).
• Understanding of medium to large coffee roasting business operations (highly desirable).
• Knowledge of B2B sales principles (highly desirable).
