Business Development Executive - Corporate

About the role

Marsh Risk is looking for a Business Development Executive to join its Corporate team in Perth. This hybrid position requires you to work in the office at least three days a week and focuses on generating new business across the mid‑market space.

Key responsibilities

• Cultivate and qualify prospect relationships, including key contacts and financial data.
• Manage a prospect pipeline, maintain regular communications and move opportunities through the sales funnel.
• Use Marsh CRM software to track the pipeline and performance.
• Conduct market and industry research with the MMC Resource Centre to identify new prospects.
• Review and update databases to spot target portfolios and market opportunities.
• Leverage marketing channels, buying groups and association relationships.
• Create and manage an individual development plan with financial goals and sales strategies.
• Lead proposal and presentation development, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance with Marsh operating model.

Required profile

• Tier 1 FSRA Compliance and ANZIIF Associate membership (or willingness to obtain).
• Relevant Business Development or Insurance Broking experience.
• Strong business acumen with knowledge of finance, management and risk.
• Exceptional communication, influencing, problem‑solving and negotiation skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational abilities to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
