Business Analyst, Docklands

About the role

ANZ is hiring a Business Analyst for its Transformation Delivery Hub in Melbourne (Docklands area), working full-time (40 hours per week) on a 12-month secondment. The role accelerates delivery of projects and programs by gathering and clarifying requirements, analysing processes and turning business objectives into actionable specifications for delivery teams, while aligning with stakeholder expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse complex business situations to identify root causes, opportunities, risks and recommendations for improvement
• Conduct feasibility assessments and evaluate solution options against business impact, cost, benefit, risk and strategic alignment
• Own end-to-end requirements management for medium-complexity initiatives, including elicitation, prioritisation, traceability and change management
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and discussions to build alignment and support decision-making
• Develop and maintain business, process and data models
• Analyse current and future-state processes to improve efficiency, effectiveness, customer outcomes and operational performance

Required profile

• Ideal candidates have core business analysis and problem-solving skills, such as business situation and root cause analysis, and solution evaluation
• Requirements management, including elicitation, prioritisation, traceability and change management
• Stakeholder engagement, facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution
• Solution validation and testing, including UAT oversight and business sign-off
• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
• Process modelling tools (Visio, BPMN, data modelling or equivalent)
• Data analysis and insight generation, and mentoring analysts in projects
• Strategic analysis, business case development and portfolio analysis
• Change and transformation, organisational change management and transformation delivery
• Banking and financial services knowledge and regulatory awareness within the organisation
