Bridgeworker – Structures & Civil Labourer

About the role
As a Bridgeworker you will perform maintenance and repair on Queensland Rail’s steel, timber and concrete bridges as well as associated drainage systems. The role is field‑based, requiring work in all weather conditions and at height to keep the rail network safe and reliable.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out routine and corrective maintenance on bridges and drainage structures.
- Apply safe work practices and adhere to quality standards on every task.
- Travel to work sites as required by the roster, including overnight stays when necessary.
- Report any defects or safety concerns to the Structures team.
Required profile
- Current C‑class driver’s licence.
- Recent experience in labouring or traffic assistance (TA) roles.
- Strong safety focus and willingness to work at heights.

What we offer
- Permanent full‑time position with Queensland Rail.
- Base salary $69,000 per year plus penalties and 12.75 % superannuation; potential earnings over $85,000.
- Travel allowance, accommodation and tools/uniform provided.
- Every second Friday off (3‑day weekend).
