Branch Manager – Waste Management, Albury

About the role

Cleanaway, which transforms waste into resources and renewable energy, is looking for an experienced Branch Manager to lead its Lavington operation serving the wider Albury-Wodonga region. You will lead a team of more than 50 employees, supported by four direct reports across operations, administration and the liquid treatment plant. The role suits an established operational leader who can manage complexity, lead large frontline teams and build strong relationships with customers, councils and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring efficiency, safety and compliance with National Heavy Vehicle Law.
• Oversee staff and fleet operations, keeping vehicles maintained and compliant with regulations.
• Coach and mentor the team so they meet operational KPIs and safety standards.
• Champion safety initiatives, investigate incidents and build a safety-first culture in line with health and safety regulations.
• Manage the branch's profit and loss, focusing on cost control, financial performance and operational results.
• Partner with fleet, commercial, resource recovery and other functions to deliver strong customer and business outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large operational and frontline teams in logistics, manufacturing, industrial or similar complex environments.
• Demonstrated safety leadership and experience driving compliance and operational discipline.
• Experience managing P&L, contracts and operational performance.
• Demonstrated change management capability and ability to lead teams through transitions.
