Barista – Corporate Café Team

About the role

Restaurant Associates, part of Compass Group Australia, is looking for an experienced, energetic and friendly barista to join its corporate café team in Bedford Park, Adelaide. The position is full time, Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with shifts varying between those hours. There is no weekend or public holiday work, and the setting is a premium corporate office environment.

Key responsibilities

• Use knowledge of coffee, brewing methods and grind adjustment to make a variety of coffees
• Set, adjust and correct machine and grinder settings quickly and accurately
• Maintain coffee stocks and keep the workspace clean
• Assist with food service where required
• Clean, maintain and perform daily step-down of machines
• Provide excellent customer service to all employees on site

Required profile

• At least 6 months of barista experience in a franchise or café environment
• Comfortable producing high-quality coffee at speed
• Strong communication skills and professional personal presentation
• Friendly, positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
• Confident working independently
• Knowledge of health and safety rules and allergens
