Audit Senior – Mid-tier Accounting Firm

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join a leading mid-tier accounting firm located in Melbourne’s CBD. The successful candidate will work on a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from large private multinational groups to ASX-listed companies and not-for-profit organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end audit engagements, from planning through to final reporting.
• Collaborate with audit managers to design audit strategies and allocate resources.
• Engage directly with clients to obtain information, discuss findings and provide recommendations.
• Assess internal controls, identify risks and suggest improvements.
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable standards.
• Present audit results and insights to partners and senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of Australian external audit experience.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Actively pursuing CA, CPA or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong analytical mindset with excellent organisational and client-management abilities.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of IFRS.
• Familiarity with Australian audit standards.
