Audit & Compliance Manager, Transportation Risk and Compliance

About the role

Amazon’s Transportation Risk & Compliance (TRC) team seeks an experienced Audit & Compliance Manager to lead and execute audit and monitoring programs for Australian Last Mile transportation operations. The role involves working closely with carrier partners and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with legal, contractual and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end execution of audit and monitoring (A&M) programs, verifying third‑party transportation partners meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the Global Quality team to align with global audit quality standards and metrics.
• Oversee A&M findings, ensuring timely closure or enforcement actions.
• Provide regular reporting of A&M metrics for local and global audiences.
• Conduct deep‑dive analyses of processes to identify risks, controls and gaps, influencing business decisions.
• Define audit scope and test plans for new Last Mile programs, engaging cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Scale audits through automation and AI, and advise on risk and compliance for new transportation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in auditing, risk management, compliance, program or project management.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage projects and interact with senior executives.
• Experience establishing successful partnerships with internal and external teams.
