Technical Operations & Client Success Manager

About the role

Boxbar Tech is expanding across Australia and needs a trusted on‑ground leader to oversee operational delivery and client success at all Australian sites. Based in Melbourne, you will manage technicians, coordinate specialist support, and act as the reliable local point of contact for installations and live events.

Key responsibilities

• Own operational delivery and day‑to‑day client support across all Australian sites.
• Plan and oversee installations, activations, maintenance and event operations.
• Manage, schedule and develop Boxbar’s Australian technicians, sourcing additional staff as the operation grows.
• Build strong relationships with clients and venue teams, respond to issues and keep stakeholders informed.
• Attend key sites and events to check readiness, support teams and resolve problems quickly.
• Maintain clear records of equipment, site requirements, incidents, costs and follow‑up actions.
• Establish reliable local processes and standards that can scale with Boxbar’s Australian business.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading technical or field operations in live events, venues, hospitality or similar hands‑on environments.
• Confident managing technicians and contractors, dealing directly with clients and making practical decisions under pressure.
• Comfortable working independently across time zones and travelling as required.
• Ability to flex working patterns around event schedules while keeping organised and clients well supported.
