Associate/Senior Associate – Family Law

About the role

McKays Solicitors is seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join its growing Brisbane office. You will manage your own files and client relationships across a broad range of family law matters, working autonomously while collaborating with an experienced Family Law Director.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a broad range of family law matters, including property settlements, parenting issues and divorce, with a high level of autonomy.
• Provide practical and strategic advice, draft court documents, agreements and correspondence, and represent clients in negotiations, mediations and court proceedings.
• Mentor and supervise junior lawyers, supporting their professional development.
• Build strong client and professional relationships and contribute to the growth of the Brisbane practice.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of family law, with proven drafting, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage files and client relationships independently.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• Willingness to mentor junior lawyers and contribute to a collaborative office environment.
