Associate Lecturer – Nursing (Level A)

About the role

The Associate Lecturer (Level A) will support high‑quality nursing education across undergraduate and graduate programmes, contributing to teaching, scholarship and student success within a collaborative academic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging learning experiences for undergraduate and graduate nursing students.
• Facilitate contemporary teaching and assessment practices that support student achievement.
• Continuously enhance teaching effectiveness through professional development and reflective practice.
• Contribute to research, scholarship and professional activities within the nursing discipline.
• Engage with industry and community partners to support student learning and employability outcomes.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with Ahpra.
• Bachelor of Nursing and a postgraduate qualification in nursing (Graduate Certificate or higher) or significant relevant clinical experience.
• Strong contemporary nursing knowledge and commitment to evidence‑based practice.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills across academic, clinical and professional environments.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development; enrolment in a master’s degree is viewed favourably.

Required skills

• Registered Nurse qualification.
• Postgraduate nursing qualification or equivalent clinical experience.
