Senior Lecturer / Associate Professor Nursing

About the role

The School of Nursing and Midwifery at Griffith University Gold Coast is seeking a Senior Lecturer (Level C) or Associate Professor (Level D) in nursing. The position is full-time and continues, based at the Gold Coast site, though work across other university locations may be required. The holder contributes to teaching, research and academic leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and convene courses in undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programs, and supervise Honours and HDR students
• Conduct and lead research aligned with the school's strengths, aiming to attract competitive funding and improve health outcomes
• Provide academic leadership, mentorship and program coordination
• Build partnerships with industry, community and healthcare organisations

Required profile

• PhD in Nursing or a related discipline, with unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPR
• Evidence of a research track record, teaching excellence and course coordination
• Proven success in securing research grants and publishing high-quality papers
• Desirable: AHPR endorsement to prescribe, or expertise in infection prevention and control, mental health or aged care nursing
• For Associate Professor: established research impact at national and/or international level, and a strong record of supervising HDR candidates

What we offer

• Level C base salary $143,418-$165,374 per year plus 17% superannuation; Level D $172,686-$190,248 per year plus 17% superannuation
