Associate Lawyer – Workers Compensation (2+ yr PQE)

About the role

Turks is seeking a motivated Associate Lawyer with at least two years of post‑qualification experience to join its high‑performing Employers Liability team in Sydney. You will work on complex workers‑compensation and work‑injury damages matters, representing defendants in courts and tribunals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of workers‑compensation and work‑injury claims.
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and strategic advice.
• Appear in courts, tribunals and the Personal Injury Commission on behalf of clients.
• Review and draft policy wording related to workers‑compensation matters.

Required profile

• Law degree with a current Practising Certificate.
• Minimum 2 years PQE in defendant litigation, preferably in workers‑compensation or work‑injury damages.
• Excellent analytical, drafting and verbal/written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Enthusiastic, client‑focused and able to work both independently and within a team.
