Associate, Healthcare

About the role

Kennedys is seeking an Associate to join its growing Healthcare team, working closely with Partners Cindy Tucker and Natalie Orola. The role provides direct client exposure and responsibility on complex healthcare, medical negligence and health law matters.

Key responsibilities

• Handle medical negligence and clinical liability claims, including catastrophic injury and complex personal injury matters.
• Conduct coronial investigations, inquests and regulatory/discplinary proceedings such as AHPRA matters.
• Provide coverage and indemnity advice to insurers and healthcare organisations.
• Deliver strategic advice to insurers, healthcare providers and medical practitioners.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years post‑admission experience in medical negligence, healthcare or health law.
• Strong drafting, analytical and communication abilities.
• Commercial, client‑focused mindset with a collaborative approach.

Required skills

• Legal research and case analysis.
• Drafting of legal documents and advice letters.
