Associate Financial Services Regulatory Lawyer

About the role

A leading national firm is looking for an associate-level Financial Services Regulatory (FSR) lawyer to join its growing corporate practice in Sydney. You will advise a range of financial services clients on regulatory issues across the sector, with genuine career progression and the chance to work with leading partners.

Key responsibilities

• Work across a broad range of financial services regulatory and advisory matters
• Gain exposure to superannuation, funds management, banking, insurance, payments, fintech and AFSL licensing
• Work with major financial services clients as well as emerging businesses in the sector
• Take part in regulatory and strategic advisory work
• Develop client relationships; senior lawyers will run matters with minimal supervision

Required profile

• 4+ years of post-qualification experience in Financial Services Regulatory, gained within a leading law firm or regulatory body
• Experience advising on financial services regulatory matters, with a broad understanding of the regulatory environment and issues affecting businesses in the sector
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to run matters independently as well as work part of a team
• Genuine interest in developing client relationships and building your practice
