Leveraged & Corporate Finance Lawyer

About the role

Ashurst Perkins Coie's Global Loans team, a core practice area of the firm, is hiring a lawyer to work on corporate and leveraged finance transactions. The team advises on high-end, larger-cap and complex corporate finance deals and is a Band 1 team ranked by Chambers. It regularly advises on debt financing structures in sponsor event-driven financings, including A$ unitranche financing, Aust TLB, US TLB sourced financings of Australian targets, conventional Australian leveraged loans, Holdco mezzanine and ARR financings to SaaS and tech businesses.

Required profile

• 2-5 years of loan markets legal experience in a top-tier law firm, a respected mid-tier firm or in-house, focused on leveraged finance, or experience in general corporate finance with an interest in corporate and leveraged finance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and superior analytical and drafting skills.
• Commercial approach, able to articulate and negotiate effectively, with strong attention to detail.
• Team-focused, able to mentor juniors while working independently; proactive, positive and committed to building client relationships.
