Associate Director, Drainage – Relocate to Perth!

About the role

Lead hydraulic design and technical review of stormwater and drainage infrastructure for major projects in Perth, with relocation support available.

Key responsibilities

• Lead hydraulic assessment and design for transport, defence and energy projects.
• Provide technical leadership for pit and pipe networks, open channels, culverts, detention and treatment infrastructure.
• Oversee hydrologic and hydraulic modelling and integrate results into design outcomes.
• Review and approve calculations, models, drawings, reports and specifications.
• Mentor developing engineers and act as senior technical reviewer.
• Support client engagement, work winning and proposal development in the Perth market.

Required profile

• 15+ years post‑graduate experience in stormwater and drainage hydraulics.
• Proven experience delivering major infrastructure projects in a consulting environment.
• Strong technical leadership, design review and mentoring abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Professional registration (CPEng) highly regarded.

Required skills

• Hydraulic design software: 12d, Drains, TUFLOW, HEC‑RAS, MUSIC, RORB.
• Experience with ARR 2019 and relevant state drainage criteria.
• Technical governance, independent design review and project assurance.
