Associate Director - Business and Tax Advisory

About the role

The Associate Director will lead the Business & Tax Advisory team in delivering tax and accounting solutions to a diverse portfolio of clients. This senior position combines client ownership, strategic advisory, and people leadership to drive both client success and firm growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of tax and accounting solutions for privately owned businesses, family groups, SMEs, trusts, partnerships, and international structures.
• Act as a trusted advisor, building strong client relationships and managing high‑value engagements from planning through delivery.
• Own a significant client portfolio, conducting meetings, presentations, and strategic discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Oversee and review complex compliance and advisory work, ensuring technical excellence and commercial value.
• Drive strategic advisory projects, including structuring, growth initiatives, and business transformation.
• Collaborate across KPMG to provide integrated, multidisciplinary solutions.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand client relationships and grow the practice.
• Lead, coach, and inspire a high‑performance team, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture.
• Participate in resource planning, team development, and performance management.
