Assistant Merchandise Manager - Accessories & Events

About the role

Genuine Parts Company, the global leader in automotive parts and accessories, is hiring an Assistant Merchandise Manager for its Accessories & Events category in Australia. The role reports directly to a Merchandise Manager and coordinates promotional plans so they are executed accurately and optimised to drive sales growth. The category covers interior protection, accessories, gifting and event merchandise.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the rollout of promotional campaigns across marketing materials
• Review and proof promotional content for accuracy and consistency
• Manage multiple deadlines and priorities at once
• Analyse and review data to support decisions
• Prepare and present reports
• Provide general administrative support for the role and category
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Required profile

• Category, merchandise or buying exposure, or a passion for a career in this area
• Retail or FMCG experience desirable
• Resilient, tenacious and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Keen eye for detail and accuracy, with strong problem-solving skills
• Natural ability to be organised

Required skills

• Well-developed Excel skills and good experience with other Microsoft packages
• Strong communication skills and stakeholder relationship building
• Ability to analyse information and attention to detail
