Assistant Manager - Norwood Hotel

About the role

The Norwood Hotel, a heritage-listed venue in Norwood about 10 minutes from Adelaide's CBD, is looking for an Assistant Manager. It is a busy hospitality destination with modern Australian dining, live local music and the Finn MacCool's Irish Pub, serving everything from game day crowds to family dinners. The base salary is $80,000 plus superannuation, a bonus scheme and group-wide discounts.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Publican to keep the pub running smoothly, safely and with a great atmosphere
• Lead a team of hospitality staff and learn the role of Publican
• Anticipate problems before they become issues and bring the energy and service every shift
• Perform manual handling and lifting regularly, such as moving stock, kegs and deliveries

Required profile

• Experience working behind the bar, bistro or gaming room, with some supervising already done
• Confidence, pride and strong people skills to represent the pub when the boss is away
• Current RSA, RSG and RP badge as required by state regulations
• Ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently
