Assistant Manager – Front Office

About the role

The Stamford Plaza Brisbane is seeking an Assistant Manager for its Front Office team. Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, you will support the Front Desk, Concierge and Communication teams and act as Manager on Duty, ensuring high‑quality service from guest arrival to departure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide welcoming, professional and courteous service to all guests throughout their stay.
• Handle guest requests, inquiries and complaints with professionalism and timely resolution.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of VIP movements, hotel events, local attractions and activities.
• Assist in coordinating hotel activities, training and development of team members.
• Represent the Front Office Manager in their absence and ensure punctuality and efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a front office of an internationally branded hotel.
• Strong interpersonal skills, calm temperament and decisive problem‑solving ability.
• Resilient, resourceful and flexible, able to work varied shifts including nights.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Opera Cloud property management system.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
