Assistant Manager - Castle Hill Tavern

About the role

Castle Hill Tavern, known locally as "The Tav", is the original local pub of the Hills District, with a busy Family Bistro, a popular beer garden, TAB facilities and two function spaces. It is looking for an Assistant Manager to support the Publican and keep the pub running smoothly, safely and with a great vibe. The role is full-time, based in Castle Hill, NSW.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Publican in keeping the pub running smoothly, safely and with a great atmosphere.
• Lead a team of hospitality staff and learn the ropes of being a Publican.
• Handle problems before they become bigger issues and bring the energy, service and smiles every shift.
• Perform manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties, such as moving stock, kegs and deliveries.

Required profile

• Experience working behind the bar, bistro or gaming room, and some prior supervising experience.
• Confidence, pride and strong people skills to represent the pub when the boss is away.
• A current RSA and RCG as required by state regulations.
• Ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
