About the role

Join Anglicare Sydney as a Café and Functions Assistant and help create a warm, home‑like atmosphere for residents while delivering great coffee and friendly service. This role combines front‑of‑house hospitality with support for community events in our Eastern Suburbs villages.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver top‑notch customer service with a smile.
• Prepare food and beverages, including crafting espresso coffee.
• Operate the POS system and manage payments efficiently.
• Maintain a tidy, welcoming café environment from setup to clean‑up.
• Support events and activities that enliven our villages.

Required profile

• Empathy and respectful interaction with elderly residents.
• Attention to detail and knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Food Handling Certificate (preferred) and Responsible Service of Alcohol (required).
• Working with Children Check (required) and a commute within 20 minutes of the location.

Required skills

• Barista skills for espresso preparation.
• Proficiency with POS systems.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
