Area Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Area Manager to lead our Moreton Bay locations on a full‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term basis. This hands‑on leadership role involves supporting ground teams, coaching performance, solving operational challenges, and ensuring vehicle availability for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overall performance of the North Lakes and Burpengary locations.
• Coach and develop team members to achieve customer service, sales, and operational targets.
• Build a positive, accountable, high‑performing team culture through effective performance management and feedback.
• Resolve customer escalations and support the team in delivering outstanding service.
• Manage rostering, productivity, and labour costs to meet operational needs.
• Support fleet planning and vehicle availability to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Monitor KPIs and branch performance, implementing action plans where required.
• Maintain safety, compliance, and operational standards across both locations.

Required profile

• Experience leading teams within car rental, transport, logistics, fleet, tourism, hospitality, accommodation or similar operational environments.
• Proven ability to coach staff, manage performance and create a culture of accountability and teamwork.
• Experience handling customer issues, resolving escalations and driving positive service outcomes.
• Comfortable working with KPIs, budgets, productivity measures and operational reporting.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, solve operational challenges and keep operations running smoothly.
• Willing to support frontline operations when required and lead by example.
