Apprentice Technician – Radio

About the role

Based at our Regency Park branch, you will receive on‑the‑job and off‑the‑job training to develop the technical skills required to become a Telecommunications Technician Apprentice. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality customer service and supporting senior technicians on projects.

Key responsibilities

• Use test equipment to service and repair electronic components and hardware.
• Maintain general month reporting, registers and records.
• Perform field servicing and assist with project installations.
• Carry out general maintenance tasks and provide support to senior technicians as needed.

Required profile

• Strong self‑discipline and passion for technology.
• Self‑motivated, problem‑solver who asks good questions.
• Currently studying or willing to study for a Certificate III in Telecommunications or related field.
• Certificate II or pre‑apprenticeship in Electrical or Telecommunications is highly regarded.

Required skills

• Ability to operate test equipment.
• Fault‑finding and problem‑solving in time‑critical situations.
• Interest in radio communications and telecommunications technology.
