Applications and Access Control Analyst (Assistant Vice President)

About the role

Citi is hiring an Assistant Vice President Applications and Access Control Analyst in Sydney. This is a developing professional role within the Technology family (Applications Support) that applies specialist knowledge to assess, analyse and evaluate requests and data, identify data inconsistencies and integrate disciplinary knowledge with basic understanding of markets-related business practices. It is a full-time position with limited direct impact on the business, no supervisory responsibilities and flexible hours when the business needs them.

Key responsibilities

• Interface with business, production support and application development teams to handle activity requests, ensuring they follow established procedures and approved processes.
• Manage user entitlements, account creation and time-sensitive limit changes for in-house and vendor applications.
• Prepare reports from applications where appropriate and manage specific tasks to successful closure.
• Review and suggest process improvements, and devise plans to automate manual touch points.
• Gather facts and input for escalation issues to senior team members when needed.
• Perform annual reviews of policies and procedures for assigned systems.
• Assess risk in business decisions, uphold compliance with laws and regulations, and escalate control issues transparently.

Required profile

• 2-5 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience in Markets is preferred; administration knowledge of Iress trading systems is an advantage.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and to work flexible hours when required.

Required skills

• Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrated analytical skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (desirable).
• Scripting or programming language skills are a plus; scripting or programming experience is a nice to have.
• Previous process improvement or automation experience is a plus.
