Technical Analyst (Officer)

About the role

The Technical Analyst will support Citi's AU & NZ Services Cluster Technology team, ensuring operational resilience, regulatory compliance and high‑availability across payments, liquidity, trade and investor services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain operational resilience, business continuity and regulatory compliance for the AU & NZ Services technology environment.
• Provide critical technology support for Payments, Liquidity, Trade, Investor Service and Issuer Service platforms, partnering with global technology teams.
• Manage third‑party technology vendors and outsourcing relationships to meet service level agreements.
• Govern scheme change management pipeline, reviewing and risk‑assessing all application and infrastructure changes affecting payment rails.
• Oversee technical relationships with clearing partner banks to ensure optimal connectivity and SLA compliance.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in technology, payments or infrastructure within banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of Australian and New Zealand payments schemes, clearing arrangements and related regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to manage production incidents, operational risk and service resilience in a highly regulated environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across business, technology and executive audiences.

Required skills

• Agile delivery methodologies, JIRA and SaaS platforms.
• XML/JSON handling, ISO 20022 message definitions (pacs, pain, camt), SWIFT MT/MX mapping and REST APIs.
• L1/L2 incident resolution and log triage.
• Regulatory reporting knowledge: APRA (CPS 230/234), AUSTRAC (IFTI/TTR), RBA/RBNZ requirements.
