Application Support Analyst – Enterprise Systems

About the role

Join Appian’s Business Technology team in Sydney to support and evolve mission‑critical applications built on the Appian platform. You will resolve complex system issues, ensure high‑availability of internal services, and collaborate closely with developers and business stakeholders across CRM and HR domains.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve complex system anomalies and support requests from global end users, providing rapid work‑arounds and root‑cause analysis.
• Lead production incident resolution, coordinating across internal business units to restore critical services quickly.
• Perform routine environment maintenance, post‑refresh validation, and ensure sandbox stability and security.
• Partner with development squads during hand‑offs, assist in testing deployments, and document software defects.
• Maintain internal knowledge‑base documentation and collaborate with Engineering on usability testing for new platform features.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Information Systems or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in enterprise application support or data analysis.
• Strong analytical problem‑solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable working face‑to‑face in an interactive, on‑site team environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SQL and complex spreadsheets for data analysis.
• Experience with AI tools to accelerate workflows.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of enterprise platforms like Salesforce or ServiceNow.
