Analyst to Senior Analyst/Executive - Valuations

About the role

KPMG Australia's Valuation Services group is expanding its team in Sydney. The group provides independent, commercially focused valuations for clients, covering transactions, shareholder disputes, investment valuations and tax, accounting and financial reporting needs. This role sits within the Analyst to Senior Analyst/Executive progression.

Key responsibilities

• Support valuation engagements with clients
• Analyse quantitative and qualitative information on companies, industries and transactions to identify performance metrics and value drivers
• Consult clients on business performance, cash flow forecasts and prospects, and explain key valuation drivers
• Review, build and interpret financial models for businesses or projects
• Apply traditional and leading-edge valuation methods to value assets, equity or debt instruments
• Prepare clear, concise valuation reports with the commercial rationale behind the valuations

Required profile

• Recent and relevant experience in valuations of all types or corporate finance in a corporate advisory environment
• Degree in commerce, accounting, finance, economics or another relevant field
• Post-graduate accreditations such as CA or CFA are desirable
• Strong analytical and report writing skills, attention to detail and accuracy, and project management skills to meet deadlines on multiple engagements

Required skills

• Excel-based financial assessment is advantageous, especially financial modelling capabilities
• Ability to build strong internal and external relationships
