AI Reliability, Observability & Lifecycle Lead

About the role

This is a newly established leadership opportunity within Medibank's Enterprise AI Hub, responsible for building and evolving the enterprise capability for AI observability, lifecycle governance and operational assurance. You will define how AI agents, copilots, models and AI-enabled services are monitored, set the controls and standards for responsible AI operations, and help ensure AI products can be scaled safely across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and deliver Medibank's AI observability strategy and roadmap.
• Establish standards for monitoring AI health, performance, quality, safety, adoption and cost.
• Drive operational insight and continuous improvement through metrics, dashboards and alerting.
• Develop frameworks governing AI services from onboarding through to retirement, with clear ownership, risk classification, support models and review processes.
• Define enterprise AI application lifecycle management (ALM) standards.
• Work with technical agent developers, architects, data specialists and delivery partners to turn workflow designs into buildable requirements.
• Set up monitoring and governance practices supporting safety, transparency, privacy and compliance.
• Act as subject matter expert and provide evidence-based recommendations on investment, risk and operations.

Required profile

• Experience in observability, reliability engineering, service management or operational governance in complex enterprise environments.
• Demonstrated experience in AI, cloud, platform or data services roles.
• Experience designing monitoring, telemetry, incident management and service assurance capabilities.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with technology, risk, security and business stakeholders.
• Ability to develop roadmaps, operating models and enterprise-wide capability uplift programs.

• Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure or comparable enterprise technology ecosystems.
