Aged Care Worker - FIFO

About the role

A reputable aged care provider in Aurukun, North Queensland, is recruiting Aged Care Workers for a full-time FIFO position. The workers provide person-centred, compassionate care to older and vulnerable people, working closely with the Regional Manager, the Registered Nurse and the healthcare team. The roster is 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off (including travel), with departures from Brisbane, Townsville and Cairns.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality, responsive and compassionate, person-centred care to older and vulnerable people
• Work closely with the Regional Manager, Registered Nurse and the collaborative healthcare team
• Support a trusted, long-term relationship with residents

Required profile

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Home and Community Care or Aged Care, or equivalent
• Experience delivering aged care and/or NDIS services (desirable)
• Experience working in remote areas (desirable)
• Ability to work a 6 weeks on, 2 weeks off FIFO roster
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or ability to obtain) and NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'
• Current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland driver's licence
• Current flu vaccination (recommended) and a current nationally recognised First Aid and CPR certificate (or ability to obtain)
