Aerodrome Reporting Officer - Woomera

About the role

Service Stream is recruiting an Aerodrome Reporting Officer to join its Defence division and support the Property and Asset Services (PAS) contract at RAAF Woomera in South Australia. The role covers day-to-day operational control, compliance and reporting, keeping the aerodrome compliant with DASR / MOS 139 and the AO services plan.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the aerodrome and keep reporting and documentation up to date to support airbase operability and certification
• Manage aerodrome data updates, aircraft manifests, NOTAMs, OLS impacts, CASA and Defence protocols
• Draft and monitor NOTAMs to meet safety and compliance standards
• Complete FOD sweeping and keep the FOD register maintained
• Coordinate AO maintenance and liaise with BST providers for safe operations
• Support internal and external audits and investigate incidents and security breaches, reporting outcomes to Aerodrome Operators
• Perform sweeping, mowing, slashing and brush-cutting duties across airside zones and critical infrastructure
• Carry out hazard inspections and manage wildlife, environmental and maintenance risks
• Manage pedestrian and vehicle movements, including escorting duties

Required profile

• Prior experience in a similar role, or a Certificate III in Aviation (Aerodrome Operations)
• Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) and Aerodrome Works Safety Officer (WSO) certification
• Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
• Aircraft Radiotelephone Operator Certificate (AROC)
• Australian citizen able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance
• Comfortable driving 4WD vehicles and trailers

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to operate small power tools
• Problem-solving and task prioritisation
