About the role
The Accounts Transaction Officer supports the Corporate Finance & Restructuring team by providing bookkeeping, banking, and transaction processing services for distressed client engagements across Australia.
Key responsibilities
- Provide banking, funds handling and treasury support to CF&R staff in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, including opening/closing accounts and bank reporting.
- Assist with case management: create client records, process receipts, payments, journal entries, payroll, dividend distributions and perform bank reconciliations.
- Manage ATO registrations and reporting obligations, draft BAS, monitor GST payables/receivables and liaise with the ATO.
- Draft statutory accounts of receipts and payments and ensure compliance with statutory deadlines.
- Prepare periodical control reports, download daily bank transactions and support the closure of finalised client matters.
Required profile
- 6 months to 2 years of bookkeeping, treasury, accounts or payroll experience.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn new systems and strong organisational skills.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel (data entry, formatting, simple formulas).
Required skills
- Insolvency case management software (Insol6, Turnkey IPS).
- Online banking platforms.
