Accountant – Full‑Time

About the role

HCPA is looking for an experienced Accountant to manage day‑to‑day financial operations for its Australian and US entities. You will ensure payroll, accounting, cash‑flow and compliance are handled accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee weekly payroll for AU and US operations, ensuring compliance with PAYGW, Superannuation and Payroll Tax.
• Maintain accurate records in Xero, perform bank reconciliations, track fixed assets and manage inter‑company adjustments.
• Monitor bank balances, produce cash‑flow forecasts in Float and manage accounts payable/receivable.
• Prepare weekly KPI, productivity and cash‑runway reports for leadership.
• Coordinate BAS, PAYGW, WorkCover and liaise with external tax advisers and auditors.

Required profile

• Tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience in full‑cycle payroll, reconciliations, cash‑flow forecasting and tax compliance.
• Experience handling multi‑entity or international operations (AU/US) is highly advantageous.

Required skills

• High proficiency in Xero.
• Experience with Float for cash‑flow forecasting.
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills.
