Accounts Receivable Officer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance Team in Brisbane. The role operates in a high‑volume environment and requires strong collections, credit control and stakeholder management skills.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end Accounts Receivable process, including payment allocation and debtor record maintenance.
• Reconcile AR ledgers and bank accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Proactively monitor the aged debtors ledger and follow up on outstanding accounts.
• Support credit control practices to minimise overdue debt.
• Prepare and analyse reports on aged debtors, collections performance and cash flow.
• Investigate and resolve billing issues, account queries and payment discrepancies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve account accuracy and collection outcomes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for AR processes, reporting and controls.
• Provide support to Accounts Payable functions, including payments processing and discrepancy resolution.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in an end‑to‑end Accounts Receivable or Credit Control role.
• Strong collections experience and confidence managing aged debt.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong reconciliation and problem‑solving capability.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Proactive, positive and solutions‑focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with cloud‑based ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
