Accountant – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Accountant to support our finance, operations and warehouse teams in a well‑established manufacturing environment. You will own end‑to‑end accounting tasks, ensure strong financial controls and provide timely information for business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for head office.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close.
• Manage accounts payable, including purchase orders, approvals and payment scheduling.
• Manage accounts receivable, aged debtor reporting and customer statements.
• Monitor cash flow, identify risks and assist with credit applications.
• Process payroll, superannuation and related queries.
• Compile tax information such as PAYG, BAS and payroll tax.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting frameworks and legislation.
• Collaborate with operational teams to improve accuracy, efficiency and process integrity.

Required profile

• Proven accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or a similar operational setting.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline (preferred but not essential).
• Strong attention to detail, organisational ability and capacity to meet competing deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and confidence working across departments.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems (beyond MYOB and Xero).
• Familiarity with IFS software (training can be provided).
